Below, we inform you in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) about the collection of personal data as part of the application process for employment in our company.

Who is responsible for data processing?

What data do we process about you? And for what purposes?
Application documents are intended to indicate whether and to what extent an applicant is suitable for the advertised position. Therefore, in addition to address/contact details, a meaningful application includes the cover letter, résumé, certificates of education/qualifications, and school/work references that are relevant to the advertised position.

The purpose of collecting this data is to carry out a lawful review of your application during the recruitment process. For this purpose, we store all data that you have made available to us in the course of your application. Based on this data, we determine whether you will be invited to an interview as part of the selection process.

What is the legal basis for this?
The legal bases for data collection and processing are:
Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR,
Art. 9 (2) lit. b and h GDPR,
Art. 88 (1) GDPR.

 

How long will the data be stored?
We retain your personal data obtained during the application process for no longer than 6 months. In the event of an unsuccessful application or withdrawal of the application, we will delete the data you submitted 6 months after the rejection notice. This retention period is necessary in case of any legal claims. If you are considered for employment, you will be separately informed about the collection of personal data during the hiring process.

 

Who will receive your data?
During the selection process, applicant data is only viewed or processed by individuals involved in the hiring process. This includes HR personnel and managers who make hiring decisions.

In the case of applicants with severe disabilities, the representative body for severely disabled persons is also involved, in accordance with legal requirements. If an interview is arranged, the application documents will be made available to all participants in the interview. Your data will not be transferred to or shared with third parties beyond this.

 

Where is the data processed?
The data is processed exclusively on dedicated IT systems located in our server room. In addition to system administrators, only HR personnel and company management have access to these IT systems.

Your rights as a “data subject”
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you.

You also have the right to rectification or deletion of your data, or to restrict processing, as permitted by law.

Additionally, you have the right to object to processing within the scope of the legal provisions, and a right to data portability.
